Ingredients:
1 cup Shirley J Signature Cream Sauce Base
3 cups cold water
8 ounces asparagus cut into 1” pieces (use only tender ends of the stalk)
8 ounces crab meat or imitation crab meat
Juice from ½ lemon
¼ cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
Directions:
Barley cover asparagus with water in large saucepan and cook till tender add cold water to asparagus to equal 3 cups. Add Shirley J Cream Sauce Base to mixture and whisk, bring to a boil. Add Crab meat, juice and cheese, stir and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve over rice, or puff pastry also makes a great pasta sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh tomatoes if desired.
